School Governance & Board of Directors

Committed to Accountability, Equity, and Excellence

At Mission Achievement and Success (MAS) Charter School, our Governing Board is focused on many things, including that the school fulfills its mission: to empower students to discover who they are, what they want to do, and why it matters by delivering a rigorous college preparatory program in a supportive and engaging learning environment.

As a state-authorized public charter school, MAS is governed by a dedicated volunteer board that provides strategic oversight, fiscal accountability, and policy leadership. The board works in collaboration with school leadership to uphold the highest standards of educational quality, equity, and compliance.

Here’s what you can find on this page:

MAS and Open Meetings Act Compliance

Transparency You Can Depend On

At MAS Charter School, transparency, accountability, and public trust are cornerstones of our governance. That’s why we fully comply with the New Mexico Open Meetings Act (OMA) — a state law that ensures the public has access to the decision-making processes of governmental and public institutions.

Under the Act, all meetings of the MAS Governing Board are open to the public, unless legally exempt. This includes regular monthly meetings, special meetings, and emergency sessions, all of which are publicly noticed in advance here on our website and open for participation either in person or via a remote access option. Agendas are posted on our website at least seventy-two (72) hours before regular meetings and are also available at our main administrative office.

Each year, the MAS Governing Board adopts a formal resolution to define what constitutes reasonable public notice, and to outline procedures for agenda access, accessibility accommodations, emergency meetings, and public input.

We are committed to inclusive, accessible, and transparent governance — because our families and community deserve nothing less.
