Special Education & 504 Resources at MAS Charter School

An Inclusive, Supportive Learning Environment for Every Student

At MAS Charter School, we believe that all students deserve access to a high-quality education, tailored to meet their unique learning needs. Our inclusive special education program ensures that students with differing abilities receive the support and services they need while remaining fully engaged in the general education classroom.

Our objective for special education is to empower every learner by providing individualized instruction, accommodations, and interventions that foster academic growth, confidence, and independence.

Our Approach to Special Education

MAS Charter School follows an inclusive education model, meaning students with disabilities:

  • Learn alongside their peers in the general education classroom.
  • Receive specialized support and services within that classroom environment.
  • Benefit from a collaborative team of general education teachers, special educators, and support staff.
  • Have access to accommodations and modifications based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

Our highly trained special education team members work closely with families, teachers, and students to create an environment where all learners can succeed.

Services & Support

Our special education program provides:

  • Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique strengths and needs.
  • Co-Teaching & Classroom Support, ensuring that students receive specialized instruction without being removed from their learning environment.
  • Accommodations & Modifications to help students access the curriculum and demonstrate their learning.
  • Collaboration with Families, ensuring parents and guardians are active partners in their child’s education.

Our Commitment to Inclusion

At MAS Charter School, we believe that diversity in learning strengthens our school community. By embracing an inclusive model, we create a school culture where every student is valued, supported, and given the tools to reach their full potential.

MAS remains committed to meeting and exceeding state and federal special education guidelines, ensuring that all students receive equitable access to educational opportunities.

Section 504 Accommodations at MAS Charter School

MAS Charter School is committed to providing equitable educational opportunities for all students, including those with disabilities. Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 is a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against students on the basis of a disability.
