MEET THE CLASS OF 2025 — DAVID VEGA: Today's senior spotlight features a student who knows the value of staying on track, taking advantage of opportunities, and putting in the type of work that is necessary to succeed. Since enrolling at MAS in 7th grade, he has taken advantage of opportunities like dual college credit classes while balancing school and work — and still finding time for the sports he loves. Whether it's playing football, preparing for a career in automotive sector, or helping out at his family's food truck, he shows that success comes from consistent effort and a positive mindset. Meet David, in his own words…

Enrolled at MAS: August 2019 (7th grade)

Post-High School Plans: Completing his associate’s degree in business at CNM; plans to train as a professional vehicle paint technician and start a career in the auto body industry

Passions and Hobbies: Playing football and basketball and spending time with family

Life Lesson: "Take responsibility for your actions, and learn to balance school, work, and life."

Q&A WITH DAVID

MAS: What advice would you like to give to freshmen based on your experiences?

DAVID: "Don't wait until the last minute — use the time your teachers give you to get your work done."

MAS: What did you like best about attending MAS?

DAVID: "I liked being able to leave school early to take college classes at CNM."

MAS: Who inspires you the most?

DAVID: "I admire my parents. My dad, who runs a successful food truck business, taught me the importance of hard work. My mom, a registered nurse, inspires me to reach higher and keep pushing toward my goals."

MAS: Fast-forward 10 years… Where do you see yourself?

DAVID: "Running my own auto body business or working for a major car company like Chevrolet or GMC. I hope to be married, have two kids, and have traveled to places like France, Italy, and Tokyo."

MAS: Favorite restaurant and order?

DAVID: "My favorite is my dad’s food truck, El Molcajete. I especially love the Torta de Asada."

David’s strong work ethic, respect for opportunity, and drive to build a future for himself and his family make him another notable member of the Class of 2025. We’re proud of all he’s achieved — and excited to see where his determination will take him next.
