Meet The Yale Campus Students of The Month For April 2025

Last month, we were honored to shine a spotlight on a remarkable group of students from our Yale campus, each of whom exemplifies our school’s fundamentals and one or more of the Choose Love pillars. From PreK through 11th grade, these students demonstrated integrity, engagement, kindness, and a relentless commitment to academic and personal growth. Their dedication to high achievement within our school community is truly inspiring. Please join us in celebrating their outstanding achievements!

Michael Vigil — Yale Campus PreK Student of the Month (April 2025): Michael has had a tremendous year in PreK, showing what it means to make quality schoolwork personal. Whether it’s participating in classroom activities or approaching his work with care and focus, he always puts in his best effort. His growth this year has been remarkable, and he sets a wonderful example for his peers. Michael’s commitment to doing his best each day is what makes him truly stand out as Student of the Month for April.

Harrison Hunt — Yale Campus Kindergarten Student of the Month (April 2025): Harrison shines in every aspect of classroom life. He goes the extra mile daily, whether it’s taking initiative, helping his classmates, or jumping into tasks with enthusiasm and focus. Harrison exhibits kindness and responsibility, always modeling what it means to be thoughtful and respectful. His dedication to doing more than what’s expected and uplifting those around him makes him a standout student and a joy to have in class.

Daniela Lozoya — Yale Campus 1st Grade Student of the Month (April 2025): Daniela is the kind of student a teacher can count on. She honors her commitments and takes pride in delivering high-quality work and supporting her classroom community. She follows through on responsibilities with care and positivity, and her consistent effort helps her shine in both academics and character. Daniela leads by example and demonstrates every day what it means to be a reliable and dedicated learner.

Danny Jackson — Yale Campus 2nd Grade Student of the Month (April 2025): Danny gives his absolute best on every assignment, making quality schoolwork personal. He approaches each task with effort, attention, and a positive attitude, showing courage even when the work gets tough. Danny’s resilience and willingness to grow are hallmarks of a great student. His teachers appreciate his drive and know that he is building habits that will serve him well in the years ahead.

Zuleyka Gutierrez — Yale Campus 3rd Grade Student of the Month (April 2025): Zuleyka has demonstrated remarkable growth this year, both academically and socially. She works hard, consistently makes good choices, and treats others with compassion and respect. Her positive mindset and dedication to doing her best in every situation are what set her apart. Zuleyka is a thoughtful student and an example of what it means to grow with integrity and heart.

Cataleya Del Angel — Yale Campus 4th Grade Student of the Month (April 2025): Cataleya consistently goes above and beyond. She approaches each assignment with urgency and care, always aiming for her best work. Cataleya models Choose Love’s pillars like courage, gratitude, and compassion in her daily interactions, which uplift her peers. Her ability to seek clarity, reflect on feedback, and grow from it shows her deep commitment to learning. Cataleya is a shining example of a student who not only meets expectations but exceeds them with grace.

Adrian Baca Jr — Yale Campus 5th Grade Student of the Month (April 2025): Adrian is a kind, attentive, and thoughtful student who has grown significantly this year. He listens to understand, treats others with respect, and brings courage and compassion into the classroom. Adrian’s consistency and growth mindset are just a few reasons he’s being recognized this month.

Sophia Veliz — Yale Campus 6th Grade Student of the Month (April 2025): Sophia approaches every school day with full effort and enthusiasm. She is not afraid to make mistakes and understands that growth comes from trying, learning, and trying again. Sophia completes her work on time, encourages her peers, and is eager to learn something new. Her attitude toward learning and her support of others makes her a well-deserved Student of the Month.

Charissa David — Yale Campus 7th Grade Student of the Month (April 2025): Charissa stands out for her meticulous attention to detail and her commitment to academic and scholarly excellence. She consistently organizes her work with precision, asks thoughtful questions, and strives for continuous improvement. Charissa also demonstrates integrity and clarity in her communication, ensuring she understands expectations and helps others stay on track. She is a model of consistency and positivity, and her leadership is felt across every subject she tackles.

Aldo Mendez — Yale Campus 8th Grade Student of the Month (April 2025): Aldo leads by doing the right thing, always. He meets expectations with a positive attitude and takes pride in his work, no matter the task. Aldo’s peers look up to him because of his steady commitment to excellence and his integrity. Whether in academics or classroom behavior, Aldo delivers results through focus, effort, and kindness.

DJ Myers — Yale Campus 9th Grade Student of the Month (April 2025): DJ shines in every class through his effort, curiosity, and positive attitude. He participates regularly, asks thoughtful questions, and truly seeks to understand what he’s learning. DJ creates a strong first impression with his respectful demeanor and consistent work ethic. His presence uplifts his classmates, and his dedication to growth and excellence sets a high bar. DJ is a wonderful example of what it means to create a great impression through both words and actions.

Marcos Valencia — Yale Campus 10th Grade Student of the Month (April 2025): Marcos demonstrates quiet leadership through his integrity and thoughtful contributions to class discussions. He listens carefully, speaks with purpose, and consistently chooses to do the right thing, even when no one is watching. He also shows strong academic engagement, asking questions that deepen understanding and bring insight to his peers. Marcos’ commitment to quality in everything he does makes him a role model across campus.

Samantha Hernandez — Yale Campus 11th Grade Student of the Month (April 2025): Samantha approaches each day with purpose and drive. She meets challenges with a growth mindset, always seeking feedback and opportunities to improve. Samantha takes responsibility for her learning and consistently delivers work that reflects care, effort, and pride. Her dedication to academic success and her willingness to support others make her a strong leader and an example of what it means to be responsible for benefiting from a legendary education.
