Not Your Typical Saturday!
- Life At MAS
The typical Saturday for a middle or high school student usually involves anything but school. From sleeping in and binge-watching their favorite shows, to hanging out with friends and scrolling through social media platforms, school is the last thing on most students’ minds. Today, however, that changed.
With State Testing starting on Tuesday and running thru the 15th of the month, a group of 7th and 8th grade students chose to spend part of their Saturday at school, preparing for their exams. Coordinated by 7th grade English Language Arts (ELA) teacher Ms. Sharon Ali and 8th grade ELA teacher Ms. Ceema Guyadeen, the students took part in a powerful activity — sacrificing their free time to sharpen their skills and boost their confidence ahead of State Testing.
A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Guyadeen and Ms. Ali for generously giving up part of their weekend to support students in strengthening their academic foundations. Your commitment and dedication to our school community makes a difference!
